Whenever an end-time event is mentioned people always think about the battle of Armageddon or better still WW3 as some will call it.. There are several end-time wars that are prophesied in the bible. The battle at Megiddo is just one out of several. The certainty of this war is undisputed yet it is not the next major war the world is about to witness.
We are in the time of Psalm 83. The psalm states that the immediate neighbours of Israel will launch a war for the purpose of "wiping out Israel as a nation" (verse 4). The nations described as being a part of this nefarious effort are those with a common border with Israel today (verses 6-8). The rest of the psalm is a prayer for the victory of Israel (verses 9-18).
The outcome of the war is not stated, but we know from other scriptures that Israel will be victorious. For example, in Zechariah 12:6 we are told that in the end times Israel will be like "a fire pot among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves, so they will consume on the right hand and on the left all the surrounding peoples..." Also, in Amos 9:15 we are told that once the Jews are re-established in their land, "they will not again be rooted out from their land."
Some believe this war will result in an overwhelming victory for Israel, resulting in great territorial expansion and enhanced national resources. It will also produce the security spoken of in Ezekiel 38.
Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 are two distinctly differing Israeli war prophecies. Psalm 83 is more than a mere imprecatory prayer, but is an actual confederate effort, with listed participants, a specific mandate, and a genuine motive. Both events are yet to find final fulfilment, but appear likely to be about to occur soon, sequentially, and in rapid succession. In the aftermath of Psalm 83, Israel probably develops without much restriction, into the sovereign Jewish State that the Ezekiel invaders seek to invade.

A word On fulfilment of prophesies
Some things should be known about prophesies and their fulfilment. The ministry of a Prophet does not only include foretelling but also Fort-telling. Fufilment of prophesies can come in various forms.
A prophecy can have partial fulfilment, dual or multiple fulfilment , or singular fulfilment.
Partial fulfilment occurs when a certain portion comes to pass and there appers to be a time interval before the remainig part is fuflfilled. e.g. Jesus fufilment of Isaiah 61 was partial in his lifetime, the part that deals with vengance was not fulfiled until his death and resurection, this part began when the Holy Spirit was released on the earth on the day of pentecost and we begin to see Peter and Paul execute judgements at different times.
Dual Fulfilment : This is situation where a prophetic word has a dual application. Some word have multiple applications. In some cases it may have a long term and short term fulfilment. An example of this is the siege of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzer in 586BC and by the roman army in 70AD.
Singular Fulfilment : There are some word of prophesis that are fulfilled once and for all. No partial fulfillment, no dual fulfliment of application.
If one is to accurately interpret Bible prophecy, he must surely recognize that language of predictive literature can be either literal or figurative. But how does one determine the nature of prophetic terminology? In some instances common sense will dictate the character of the prophecy. If a literal view implies an impossibility or an absurdity, it is obviously figurative. The context will frequently shed light on the situation. In many instances, the issue will be settled by how the New Testament writers (who quote or cite the prophecies) viewed the matter. When Old Testament writers declared that Christ would be the offspring of Abraham (Genesis 22:18), or that he would be raised from the dead (Psalm 16:10), they made straightforward predictions that were fulfilled literally
Prologue to the War
Iran is now a nuclear Power
Iran’s nuclear program has been under heavy cirtisisim due to evidences that shows that it was working towards unranium enrichment to create a bomb. This has been going for on for years.
Recent remarks by Israeli and foreign experts all appear to confirm that Iran has already passed the "point of no return" in its quest for atomic weapons, despite years of solemn vows that the Islamic Republic would never be permitted to reach this stage in its nuclear program.
"We are going in the wrong direction and there is now certain capability," former International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Deputy Director Olli Heinonen said last week.
The true intentions of Iran is obvious and the United states is not like to take the military option.
Israel Begins Preparations - Israel will Bomb Iran
The question is not 'if' but 'when' will Israel bomb Iran? It is still not clear if the Obama Administration is willing to support Israel on this mission but whether they support Israel of not, Israel is willing to act alone.
The most likely option for the Israelis is to use their F-16A and F-15 war planes. These planes have gone on many operations like this before. Operation Wooden Leg is the longest combat mission ever undertaken by the IAF, the strike involved the bombing of PLO Headquarters in Tunis, by F-15 Eagles. This mission was undertaken in response to a PLO terrorist attack which murdered three Israeli civilians in Cyprus, a stretch of 2,300 kilometres, involving in-flight refuelling by an IAF Boeing 707. As a result, PLO headquarters and barracks were either destroyed.

Report: Israel and Saudi Arabia Collaborating on Iran Strike
Under the headline "Two old foes unite against Tehran," Britain's Sunday Times newspaper said Israel and Saudi Arabia were working together on "contingency plans for a possible attack on Iran if its nuclear programme is not significantly curbed
Unbelievably, Israel and Saudi Arabia are reportedly working together to formulate a plan of attack to hit Iran's nuclear facilities in the event the international community fails to adequately quell the Islamic Republic's atomic ambitions.
According to a report in London's Sunday Times, Israel is most definitely not the only nation in the region upset by the terms of the Iran nuclear deal discussed last week in Geneva.
The deal in its current form would remove nearly all sanctions from Iran, while failing to require the Islamic Republic to do away with the materials and facilities needed to built a nuclear bomb at a later date.
According to the Times, Israel's Mossad has been coordinating with its Saudi counterpart on the best way to attack Iran's nuclear program.
"Once the Geneva agreement is signed, the military option will be back on the table. The Saudis are furious and are willing to give Israel all the help it needs," the newspaper quoted an unnamed diplomat as saying.
The arrangement reportedly being hashed out would allow Israel to use Saudi airspace en route to Iran. The Saudis would also provide logistical support by coordinating the use of drones, search and rescue aircraft and refuelling tankers over their soil.
And it all of this sounds too fantastical, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu already hinted at such a deal last week in an interview with with French daily Le Figaro.
There is a "meeting of the minds" between Israel and the "leading states in the Arab world on the Iran issue," Netanyahu told the newspaper, noting that it is "one of the few cases in memory, if not the first case in modern times" of Israel working side-by-side with these particular states.
The Israeli leader reiterated that the Iran nuclear threat is far more severe than Western leaders are willing to admit.
"We [both Israelis and Arabs] live here," he said. "We know something about this region. We know a great deal about Iran and its plans. It’s worthwhile to pay attention to what we say."
Defensive Preparations
On Wednesday 20-Nov-2013, Israel successfully tested the country’s newest missile defence system, which was developed in partnership with the United States.
The mid-range interceptor system, also called "David's Sling," will complete Israel’s “multilayer rocket and missile defence” shield system, which includes the Iron Dome short-range rocket interceptor and the Arrow ballistic missile interceptor, both of which are already operational, an Israel defence ministry officials said.The defence system, also known as Magic Wand, can intercept missiles with ranges of 63 miles to 125 miles. It's being developed to counter possible attacks from Syria, Iran and Iran-backed Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon.
"The successful test is a major milestone in the development of the David’s Sling Weapon System and provides confidence in future Israeli capabilities to defeat the developing ballistic missile threat," Israel’s defence ministry said in a statement
There is no longer a question whether missiles will be launched at Israel’s major population centres, only when it would happen,” Home Front Defence Minister Gilad Erdan said Tuesday ahead of a nationwide drill.
The drill, held jointly by the IDF Home Front Command and emergency services, aims to prepare the Israeli population for the undesired event of thousands of missiles and rockets hitting population centres and strategic installations across the country, including unconventional weapons from Syria, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
Psalm 83 : A Song. A Psalm of Asaph
1 Do not keep silent, O God!
Do not hold Your peace,
And do not be still, O God!
2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
And those who hate You have lifted up their head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
5 For they have consulted together with one consent;
They form a confederacy against You:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have helped the children of Lot. Selah
9 Deal with them as with Midian,
As with Sisera,
As with Jabin at the Brook Kishon,
10 Who perished at En Dor,
Who became as refuse on the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb,
Yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Who said, “Let us take for ourselves
The pastures of God for a possession.”
13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like the chaff before the wind!
14 As the fire burns the woods,
And as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest,
And frighten them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be confounded and dismayed forever;
Yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth.
